Vehicle Classes
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Vehicle Classes group the Base Types in a Vehicle Fleet for reporting purposes, and to help simplify the setup of Vehicle Growth Rates in HDM5. The Vehicle Classes in HDM5 are pre-defined and cannot be changed.
For motorised vehicles, the classes are Motorcycles, Auto Rickshaw, Passenger Cars, Utilities, Trucks and Buses.
For non-motorised vehicles, the classes are Pedestrian, Bicycle, Bicycle Rickshaw, Animal Cart and Farm Tractor. Note that agricultural tractors appear in the non-motorised category since that is more consistent with their use.
